LAGOS MAN JUMPS INTO RIVER AFTER TAKING ‘COLORADO’
A Lagos man, simply identified as Kazeem, has drowned after jumping into a river, reportedly under the influence of hard drugs.
The incident occurred at Odo Tente, a boundary area in the state, yesterday, Sunday.
Kazeem had allegedly consumed a substance believed to be a type of hard drug, possibly “Colorado,” before exhibiting erratic behaviour.
Shortly after, he was seen jumping into the river, where he drowned.
Rescue efforts were too late to save him, and he was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities have expressed concern over the rising cases of drug abuse in the area, urging residents to avoid drug use and be mindful of their mental and physical well-being.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident and mentioned that further investigations were ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding Kazeem’s death.
