LAGOS TOP LIST OF 10 MAGNET CITIES FOR BUSINESS TRAVEL
Lagos is predicted to be the most desirable city for business by 2032.
Lagos was placed higher than Cape Town, Riyadh, Johannesburg, Singapore City, Amsterdam, and Warsaw, among other cities, in a recent World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) research.
The ranking is predicated on estimates of GDP and jobs directly produced by the travel and tourism industry in 82 key tourist sites, according to Global Index, which broke the story through its X handle @TheGlobal_Index.
The study said, “By 2032, Lagos, Nigeria, is predicted to have the largest share of business travel spending in the world. Lagos’ share of business spending is anticipated to make up more than half of the city’s tourism spend and is joined by fellow cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in the top four”.
Singapore City, Singapore; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Warsaw, Poland; Brussels, Belgium; Stockholm, Sweden; and Zurich, Switzerland are among the other cities that the survey ranked among the top 10.
Time Out, a British media and hospitality company, recently named Lagos State the 19th Best City to Visit in the World. It ranked Lagos State higher than cities like Melbourne, Naples, Singapore, Miami, Dubai, Beijing, and Montreal.
According to Time Out, its network of editors and a survey of over 20,000 city people worldwide were used to determine the rankings that were posted on its website.
