‘I USED TO PRETEND TO BE LIL WAYNE’ – TEMS
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, has disclosed that as a child, she used to imitate American rapper Lil Wayne.
The Oscar-nominated diva revealed on “The Cruz Show” on Real 92.3 FM that Wayne was her role model when she used to “pretend” to be a rapper.
“Hip-hop is my thing. I used to pretend to be a rapper. I love Lil Wayne as well. I used to pretend to be Lil Wayne when I was younger,” she said.
Tems said she’s looking forward to meeting the rap icon.
“I’ve not met Wayne. I want to meet him so bad. Very soon I know I’m going to meet him.”
