VERYDARKMAN ISSUES APOLOGY FOR WEARING POLICE UNIFORM
VeryDarkMan, a social media pundit, has issued a public apology for donning a police outfit without authorization.
The Nigerian Police were not pleased when he disguised up in the uniform and claimed to be the Chief Superintendent Officer (CSP) of the police’s online section.
On Saturday, the police department accused him of impersonating and asked to speak with him.
After honoring the invitation, VeryDarkMan apologised, stating he hadnāt known about the CSP rank and didnāt intend to impersonate the police.
VeryDarkMan acknowledged that while some people might use police or law enforcement uniforms for good, others might take advantage of them for evil, and urged the public to get permission before using them.
He captioned the video: āBack from the police station where I was interrogated based on the post I made wearing a costume that the police claim is similar to theirs,l didnāt intend to impersonate the police in anyway and I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria police force and the office of the inspector general of police and also I will like to use the medium to tell the general public to always seek permission from the police or other law enforcement agencies before using anything that might look like their uniform, you might want to use it for good but there are others that might want to use it for bad, so itās good to get full approval before using anything that might seem impersonating @nigeriapoliceforce and also shout out to my lawyer @adeyanjudeji who is always ready to stand.ā
