VIDEO: BANKY W CONFIRMS BIRTH OF SECOND CHILD WITH WIFE, ADESUA

Nigerian R&B musician and entrepreneur Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, and his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, have had their second child, a boy.

Banky W announced the news on Instagram, posting a poignant video that demonstrates his commitment to family life since their new addition.

In the video, Banky W is shown performing a variety of domestic tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and assisting Adesua.

Reflecting on his family commitment, he stated, “But more importantly than that I am a husband and a father. We just had our second child who is an amazing young boy.”

Banky W said that he has taken on several chores since the baby’s arrival, characterising himself as a “chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework teacher, masseuse, and more”—all in the name of a supportive partnership.

His message underlined his dedication to gender equality, writing, “Supporting women’s economic power means doing my part in our home and community.”

He elaborated on this concept, stating, “Partnership is 100-100, not 50-50. That means I’ve been a chef, maid, babysitter, homework tutor, masseuse, and more this season as part of my role as a supportive spouse and current father of two. And, honestly, I could not be happier.” He kept going: “Supporting women’s economic power means doing my part in our home.”

Recall that Adesua revealed her pregnancy on October 14, and the pair is currently celebrating becoming a family of four.

Banky W and Adesua, who married in South Africa in November 2017, will welcome their first child, Hazaiah Olusegun Wellington, in 2021.
