Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of Nigeria, has disclosed what Nigeria should take away from the recent US election.

Former Republican President Donald Trump defeated Democratic opponent Kamala Harris to become the next president of the United States.

Nigeria has lessons to learn before the next elections, said Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 presidential contender.

According to him, “the lesson for us in Nigeria is the integrity of the process that ensures a credible outcome”.

He said it is the expectation of every Nigerian that the Trump administration would “stand resolute in ensuring free and fair elections in Nigeria and other places in the world”.
