MBAPPE LEFT OUT OF FRANCE SQUAD FOR UPCOMING UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE MATCHES AGAINST ISREAL AND ITALY

Coach Didier Deschamps left Kylian Mbappe off of his list of players announced on Thursday, meaning the Real Madrid star will not be included in France’s team for their forthcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Israel and Italy.

After missing the October doubleheader against Belgium and Israel, the captain of the national team is missing from this roster for the second time in a row.

To aid in his recuperation from a slight thigh injury sustained while playing for Real Madrid, the 25-year-old was rested for last month’s games.

But when he started playing again for Real Madrid a few days later, before France had even played, that soon became a point of contention.

Mbappe took a brief vacation in Stockholm with his entourage, skipping France’s 4-1 victory over Israel in Budapest and their 2-1 victory over Belgium.

His alleged rape was being probed, according to Swedish media, after that trip.

Mbappe claimed that the reports were “fake news,” but his attorney suggested the player would face libel charges.

Without mentioning Mbappe, a Swedish prosecutor stated that an investigation had been launched.

The former Paris Saint-Germain forward has since made four club appearances and scored one goal.

He hasn’t yet reached his spectacular peak, though.
