
OKPEBHOLO APPROVES APPOINTMENT OF GANI AUDU AS CHIEF OF STAFF
Gani Audu’s appointment as his chief of staff has been authorized by Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State.
Musa Ikhilor, the Secretary to the State Government, said in a statement on Friday that Audu’s appointment is anticipated to spur significant reforms throughout the state.
The statement read, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly the good people of Edo State, that Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff.
“The appointment takes immediate effect.”
Audu, who was born on August 18, 1969, has an M.Sc. in Intelligence and Global Security from Baze University, Abuja (2024), a PGD in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University (2011), and an HND from Auchi Polytechnic (1994).
From 2004 to 2010, Audu presided over the Etsako West Local Government Council. From 2015 until 2023, he represented Etsako West Constituency 1 in the Edo State House of Assembly.
In the 2020 Edo State governorship elections, he was also the All Progressives Congress’s nominee for deputy governor.
