(JUST IN) #ONDODECIDES2024: AJAYI PDP GOV CANDIDATE WINS POLLING UNIT
Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate for governor, has won his polling unit.
Agboola defeated his primary opponent, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress, who received 003 votes, with 194 votes cast on Saturday in Kiribo, Ese Odo Council Area, in Apoi Ward II, Unit 004.
The Nigerian Police and Civil Defense were among the several security forces present when the former deputy governor and his wife cast their ballots at his polling station earlier.
After arriving at the polling station at approximately 10:36 am with his spouse, Agboola was granted the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of those in line.
After being granted access to the polling station at approximately 10:45 a.m., the pair spoke with voters for a short while before departing in his black Jeep.
Agboola, who said that the current governorship election was riddled with serious irregularities, voiced his disapproval of the exercise’s conduct, just after casting his ballot.
