Federal officials in the United States allegedly raided the detention cell of Diddy, the troubled American musician.

According to reports, a number of confidential documents and his personal writing notes intended for his legal team for an impending trial were confiscated by the authorities.

Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, made this public while claiming that prosecutors were utilizing confidential legal documents that were taken from the singer’s detention cell to keep him detained until his trial in May.

Diddy’s defense team claimed in a recent filing in Manhattan federal court that the authorities had seized legally classified papers that shouldn’t have ended up in the hands of the prosecutors.

His lawyer told Judge Arun Subramanian that “This search and seizure are in violation of Combs’ Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.”

Additionally, Diddy’s legal team asked prosecutors to clarify who gave the go-ahead for the search of the singer’s cell, which resulted in the seizure of personal belongings and documents.

Judge Subramanian, however, scheduled a hearing on the case for Tuesday afternoon and gave prosecutors until Monday at 5 p.m. ET to reply to Diddy’s attorneys.

Since September 2024, Diddy has been detained pending trial in pre-trial custody.
