An electronic road sign was allegedly stolen, leading to the arrest of a 33-year-old man by the Lagos State Police Command.
This was announced by the command’s Rapid Response Squad, or RRS, in a post posted on Monday night on its X handle, @rrsLagos767.
It stated that while uninstalling the installation, the suspect was captured on Wednesday at around 2:00 a.m. in the Oshodi region of the state.
“The suspect was apprehended for stealing one of the electronic road signs installed on Five Star Bridge, Oshodi, to caution road users to slow down.
“Vandals had, a week before, stolen the battery of one of the two road signs installed at the inward Apapa end of the bridge to caution motorists.
