Read Time:1 Minute, 32 Second

Actress and producer Collette Orji has returned to the profession after a long hiatus with her first feature film, Lessons.

After focusing on nursing overseas, Orji made a brief comeback to Nigeria with a very personal initiative that holds great significance for her.

In order to address the difficulties of relationships and marriage, Orji claims that “Lessons” addresses important topics by utilizing her experiences and interactions with women, emphasizing emotional intelligence and mutual understanding.

“I’ve been in a position where I speak with so many women and I needed to bring forth a precise issue that is real and meaningful and wanted the audience to stay glued with me and understand that a story like s3x lessons will only work and end in a successful marriage when both partners give in fully!

“Men always feel a certain conquest when their partner was married as a virgin! The Reverse is never true,” she said.

The film examines how men and women differ from one another, emphasizing the distinctive features of their bodies, hormones, emotions, desires, and long-term mental processes.

“Men and women are different in builds, hormones, emotional expressions, desires & overall long-term thought process & how we all mate and interact s3xually! One cap doesn’t fit all in these situations”, she said.

Orji expressed her passion for the project, stating: “It was time to produce my very first movie and I knew I had to write the story myself! I always knew! It was going to be this story. I never had an issue with scripting this.”

Stanly Igboanugu, Michael Ucheagbu, Anthony Monjaro, Florence Owanta, Angela Philips, Stephanie Frank, and Collette Orji herself are among the film’s brilliant cast members.

“Lessons,” which was shot in Dallas, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Enugu, Nigeria, and directed by Collins Aharanwa, was made available on YouTube.
