WHY I CONSIDER MARRIAGE A SCAM – ABIMBOLA CRAIG

Read Time:1 Minute, 1 Second

Abimbola Craig, an actress and producer, has called marriage a “scam.”

During an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she expressed her opinions.

Craig questioned conventional marital roles, emphasizing the unfair expectations that are frequently placed on women in these kinds of relationships.

She did, however, clarify that her desire for a spouse who is self-aware and has a clear sense of purpose is what drives her to stay single rather than a disdain of marriage.

According to her, her mother had previously referred to the title ā€œMrsā€ as meaning ā€œMasterā€™s in Residential Servicingā€.

ā€œAll marriage is a scam. When I was small, my mum always told me marriage is an institution. She said when they call you ā€˜Mrs,ā€™ it stands for ā€˜Masterā€™s in Residential Servicingā€™.ā€

ā€œI am not married, not because I do not want to be married, but if you are a man who does not know who he is, you cannot be with meā€, she said.

Renowned for her work in “Skinny Girl in Transit” and co-producing the popular 2019 movie “Sugar Rush,” she is a gifted actress and producer.

Craig talked candidly earlier this year about her near-death experience after undergoing brain surgery in 2014.
