FG RESCHEDULES 2024 CIVIL SERVICE PROMOTION EXAMS TO DECEMBER
The Federal Government has rescheduled the 2024 civil service accreditation and promotion process to take place from December 2-5, 2024, following initial logistical adjustments.
The promotion process, typically an annual event for civil servants, was originally planned for earlier in the year.
A statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), led by Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, explained that the new dates would allow for better coordination and smoother execution of the process.
The statement, referencing Circular Ref. No. HCSF/CMO/EM/AOD/073/1/16, emphasized that the rescheduling aims to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the civil service by ensuring a more organized promotion examination.
The accreditation process, which is a crucial step for eligible officers on Salary Grade Levels 06-13, will take place across six designated centres nationwide, making the process more accessible to civil servants across the country. The examination itself is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, and will serve as an important milestone in the career advancement of civil servants.
Mrs. Walson-Jack also stressed the significance of the accreditation process, urging all eligible candidates to attend within the specified dates to ensure their participation in the promotion examination.
