GOV OTTI SYMPATHISES WITH VICTIMS OF ABA CATHOLIC FEAST TRAGEDY
The families of the victims of the Catholic feast procession, which reportedly lost five lives and injured numerous devout, have received condolences from Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
Since security personnel were accused of locking the church’s gates, it is thought that the event happened as a result of the Christ the King Cathedral being overcrowded.
In order to prevent such tragedies in the future, the governor promised that his administration will work with the Church.
Otti praised the government team and church leadership for their proactive efforts in giving medical care to the victims in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma.
