NEWS: VP SHETTIMA RETURNS TO ABUJA FROM COTE D’IVOIRE
After attending the first International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (Salon International des Ressources Extractives et Énergétiques) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Nigeria.
It was learnt that Senator Shettima arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday evening through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, despite the fact that no formal statement of his return was released.
In order to utilise Africa’s natural richness for sustainable development, Vice President Shettima had advocated for improved transparency, stronger governance, and cooperation between leaders and business stakeholders while she was in Côte d’Ivoire.
Additionally, he restated the Nigerian government’s dedication to creating an inclusive extractive sector based on the ideas of openness, regional collaboration, and local capacity building.
The summit, themed “Policies and Strategies for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive and Energy Industries,” brought together leaders from across Africa to discuss innovative solutions for resource management and energy security.
