KANO PILGRIMS BOARD ANNOUNCES JANUARY 1 DEADLINE FOR HAJJ PAYMENT COMPLETION
The deadline for collecting Hajj contributions from prospective pilgrims in the state is January 1, 2025, according to the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The Board’s Director-General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, revealed this at a meeting with board staff and Local Government Hajj Center Officers on Monday, according to a statement released by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi.
Danbappa said, “The deadline aligns with the 2025 Hajj Calendar issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which mandates all states to remit their intending pilgrims’ details to the Commission on or before 7th January 2025.
“He stressed the importance of adhering to this directive to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation.”
Concerned about the poor sales of Hajj seats, Danbappa called on local government representatives to step up their efforts in order to reach their seat distribution goals.
In addition, he urged creative ways to increase ticket sales and meet the state’s commitments within the allotted period.
Due to the possibility of being disqualified from the 2025 Hajj activity, pilgrims who intend to make payments have been recommended to finish them by January 1, 2025.
