The Nigeria Police Force’s Yobe State Command agents have apprehended three alleged ATM scammers.
In a statement issued on Saturday, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), revealed this, saying that the arrests represented a major victory in the state’s battle against cybercrime and related offenses.

According to him, the suspects, who confessed to the crime, used clever tactics to trick unsuspecting bank customers into revealing their PIN numbers while using ATMs.
“They would offer to assist the bank customers, then swap their ATM cards and withdraw cash from their accounts”, he added.
