Funke Akindele, an actress and director, has publicly thanked musician D’banj for his unwavering support of her and her Jenifa business.
The touching remembrance was given on Sunday night during the opening of her much awaited film, EverybodyLovesJenifa.
Akindele described in a moving speech how D’banj went above and above to provide his support.
She disclosed that D’banj delayed his plans to attend the occasion, despite having previously committed to travel for another project, proving his commitment to her success.
“A big thank you to Bangalee; he was supposed to travel for a project. I begged and begged and begged. He told his guys to cut the project, and he would do this for me, and he did it at no cost”, she said.
