MIDNIGHT FIRE RAVAGES ALABA RAGO MARKET IN LAGOS
Tragedy struck in the early hours of Wednesday, as fire destroyed the ever-busy Alaba Rago (Ram) Market, Ojo area of Lagos State.
The fire, which reportedly started at about 12 midnight, destroyed items worth millions of naira in the process.
Immediate or remote cause of the fire could not be ascertained at the time of filing in this report.
Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Authourity, LASEMA, and other responders were on ground, battling to put out the raging fire.
Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osayintolu and Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, said the situation had been put under control from spreading to others properties.
