CLERGYMEN MAKE SPECIAL VISIT TO MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS
The Presiding Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ The Light, Rev. Dr. Dele Ajayi and other Ministers of the Chapel recently paid a brief but impactful visit to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Chaplaincy, received by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adewunmi Ogunsanya, shared words of encouragement and offered special prayers for the leadership and all members of staff of the Ministry to usher in the first workday of the New Year.
During his visit, Rev. Dele Ajayi reflected on his experiences, highlighting the importance of mercy and the faithfulness of God in assisting people to realize their goals and ambitions in life.
He emphasised the need to commit every individual and corporate aspiration to the Almighty God for divine guidance and assistance, adding that “By strength shall no man prevail”, as written in the Holy Bible 1 Samuel 2:9.
He gave an account of God’s intervention during the recent pilgrimage of the State’s contingents back from Israel, as no casualty was recorded despite the challenges faced.
Ajayi also used the opportunity to commend the leadership of the Ministry for the zeal and commitment in rendering service to the residents of Lagos State, praying for more grace and wisdom in the future for more successes. He offered his prayers for continued strength, resilience and hope.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adewunmi Ogunsanya appreciated the clergymen for their unscheduled visit and prayers; he also expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement that the Ministry has received from the Church towards the successful implementation of its programmes.
Ogunsanya solicited for the continued cooperation, prayers and support from the Church in the future assignments of the Ministry.
