
UPDATE: EFCC SET TO AUCTION FORFEITED VEHICLES ONLINE
According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, some of the cars that have been forfeited will be put up for public e-auction.
According to a statement released by the commission, the online exercise will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
16 goods are up for sale, and auctioneers from the states of Abuja, Edo, Kwara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Lagos, and Kano are involved.
The commission stated in a tweet posted on its X handle on Monday that the e-auction will be conducted in accordance with the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery & Management) Act, the Public Procurement Act of 2007, and the EFCC (Establishment) Act of 2004.
Those who are interested can visit the official websites listed for each lot.
“The General Public is hereby notified that the @officialEFCC through its appointed Auctioneers will conduct e-Auction of the under-listed vehicles that are subject to final Forfeiture orders in accordance with the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, Public Procurement Act, 2007 and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery & Management) Act, 2022,” the tweet partly read.
