UNIDENTIFIED MAN FOUND DEAD IN A WELL IN GEZAWA VILLAGE
The discovery was made after ASP Kabiru Lawan from the Gezawa Police Division placed an emergency call to the Kano State Fire Service at around 12:59 p.m.
In response, a rescue team, as confirmed by the Kano State Fire Service’s Public Relations Officer, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, was quickly deployed to the site and arrived at 1:25 p.m.
“Upon arrival, our team found a man, approximately 45 years old, lying unconscious in the well. Efforts were made to retrieve him, but it was confirmed that he had passed away due to prolonged exposure,” Abdullahi stated.
Despite efforts by the rescue team and the presence of community leaders, the man’s identity remains unknown.
“The community leaders and residents confirmed they did not recognize him or know his origins,” Abdullahi added.
The deceased was subsequently handed over to ASP Kabiru Lawan for further investigation.
