WORLD NEWS: 25 DIE IN ETHIOPIA BUS ACCIDENT
Agency Report
According to officials, 25 passengers were killed Thursday when a bus overturned in northern Ethiopia.
According to local authorities, 14 individuals were critically hurt in the accident in the Dawunt area of the Amhara region and are currently being treated at hospitals in Dessie and Delanta.
Ethiopia, the second most populous country in Africa, has a high rate of traffic accidents due to badly maintained roadways.
In December, a truck transporting a wedding party plunged into a river, killing almost 70 people.
At least 28 people were killed in September when another bus in southern Ethiopia veered into a river.
