He noted that first, a business owner must have a very good depth, that is, trust but always verify before venturing into any new strategy. Secondly, the business owner must pay attention to details, must not make premature conclusions and most important of all be focused. The business owner must apply the rules of strategic planning and also have a vision. These and many others if followed properly will help the business.
He said, “Your customers must always be in the corner of your strategic plans.”
He noted that a business owner that does not have leadership skills, will ruin his/her business in no time.
Dr. Dare however, advocated for continuous improvement, strong leadership, and sound corporate governance in achieving sustainable business success. He encouraged attendees to do things that will generate growth for their businesses and take actionable steps to mitigate risks, enhance profitability, and to allow their vision and passion for the business drive them.
“You don’t force growth, you do things that will generate growth,” Dr. Dare explained. “As a business manager, you need the power of focus. Vision is an energy generator, if it is not real, it will not keep you running.”
