HOW LAGOS HOTEL OWNER RAPED ME TWICE, PAID ME N13,000 — TEENAGER VICTIM
A 16-year-old boy has come forward with a shocking allegation, claiming he was sodomized twice by a hotel owner in Lagos, who paid him ₦13,000 after the incidents.
The hotel owner, identified as Opara Macdonald, Managing Director and CEO of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites in Ejigbo, has been arrested by the police at the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan.
According to reports, the victim initially suffered a mental breakdown after revealing his relationship with the hotel owner, who allegedly had anal sex with him.
The victim said, “One of my friends introduced me to him (suspect). He called it an update, but I didn’t know that was what he was talking about.
The first time he took me to his house and after he did it through the anus, he gave me ₦5000 (five thousand naira).
The victim also added, “When I complained to my friend, Balogun, that the man only gave me ₦5000, he said that I should go back to him. When I went back to him, he took me to his house in Egbeda again and did the same thing to me. The second time, he gave me ₦5000 again and added another ₦3000 for transportation to where he picked me up.”
Meanwhile, the suspect, while speaking with journalists, denied ever sodomising the victim or any other boy. He also insisted that only a judge can convict him for the alleged offence. “I never did it, except if a judge convicts me of that,” he said.
The hotel owner shifted the blame to his business rivals, while also acknowledging that he had given the victim ₦5,000, claiming it was for recreational activities such as swimming and internet games.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the Zone 2 Police Command, CSP Ummal Ayuba, told newsmen, “The Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police Force hereby parades one Opara Macdonald (male), the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo, Lagos, following allegations of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a minor, an act against the order of nature.
This development follows a petition dated January 23, 2025, submitted to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, by one Edozie Christian (male) of Isheri-Osun, Lagos, on behalf of his 16-year-old son, Chigozie Edozie (male).
The petition alleged that the suspect, Opara Macdonald, engaged in unlawful sexual acts with the minor.”
