GUNMEN KIDNAP MAN, WIFE, CHILD IN PLATEAU
On Monday morning, a man, his wife, and their child were kidnapped by gunmen believed to be bandits in the Dogon Ruwa community, located in the Wase local government area of Plateau State.
Following the assault, one individual was injured by gunfire.
The attack, which took place around 11 a.m., occurred while residents were going about their daily activities.
A source who confirmed the incident explained that the gunmen arrived in the community, began shooting indiscriminately to intimidate people, and then abducted the victims.
“Unfortunately, three persons were abducted. The armed men came with sophisticated weapons. Some victims were taken to a hospital in Dogo Ruwa for treatment,” he explained.
He revealed that security forces and vigilante members had ventured into the bush to rescue the abducted victims.
When contacted to confirm the incident, DSP Alabo Alfred, the spokesperson for the police command, has not yet responded.
