FOUR WANTED OVER FAILED DRUG SHIPMENTS TO SAUDI ARABIA, QATAR
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a wanted notice for four individuals involved in a drug trafficking ring linked to Lagos drug lord, Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu, also known as Barryshine.
Barryshine was apprehended on August 26, 2024, two years after being identified by the anti-narcotics agency.
According to a statement from the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, Barryshine, who serves as the Managing Director/CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd., came under surveillance due to his alleged involvement in four thwarted attempts to smuggle cocaine to Saudi Arabia and Qatar via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos between 2022 and 2024.
Babafemi revealed that numerous drug mules working for Barryshine had been arrested, prosecuted, and convicted, while Barryshine himself faces several criminal charges.
In addition, Babafemi named four other suspects now wanted by the agency: Olarenwaju Abdulai (also known as Alhaji Loyingbo), Oluwafemi Abidoye (also known as Igbono, Baba Eje, Ade Iwaya, Femi Iwaya), Olumuyiwa Ilori (also known as Murphy), and Alate Bukki of Kaffy Travels.

“The suspects were declared wanted following a court order by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos,” Babafemi added.
He said the judge also ordered that a public notice with the suspects’ photographs should be conspicuously displayed.
“Members of the public with any information on the whereabouts of the four wanted suspects are encouraged to contact the nearest NDLEA command, call our toll-free helpline: 080010203040, or send direct messages to any of our social media accounts,” the statement added.
