SANWO-OLU COMMISSIONS NEWLY REHABILITATED LAGOS ROAD (PHOTOS)

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has commissioned the newly rehabilitated Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.

This was revealed by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, in a post via his X handle on Friday.

According to Gawat, the newly commissioned road is an alternative route to the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza—Lekki, adding that the road is expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve road safety, and enhance the overall commuting experience.

The post reads: “Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu today commissioned the newly rehabilitated Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road—an alternative route to the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza—Lekki, Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

“This provides a crucial alternative route that will significantly decongest traffic at the Lekki Epe Toll Plaza, ensuring smoother and more efficient movement for commuters.

“This project also aligns with the iconic Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, this newly commissioned project makes it a major part of the state’s long-term transportation strategy.

“The benefits of this road rehabilitation are multifaceted. Beyond significantly reducing travel time and improving road safety, it will enhance the overall commuting experience while positively impacting property values and economic activities within this corridor.”
