
ONE KILLED AS RIVAL CULT GROUPS BATTLE IN DELTA COMMUNITY
One person has reportedly been killed following a clash between rival cult groups in the Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports, the victim was shot dead on Sunday, February 16, on Leo Igor Street in Ozoro.
As of the time of this report, it remains unclear whether the victim was affiliated with any cult group.
It was revealed that there has been an ongoing power struggle between rival cult groups—the Eiye and Vikings confraternities—within the university.
This latest incident brings the total number of cult-related killings over the past weekend to three.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a text message to our correspondent in Warri on Monday, stating simply, “Confirmed.”
