
BREAKING NEWS: NIGERIA MPC MAINTAINS MONETARY POLICY RATE AT 27.50%, OTHER RATIOS UNCHANGED
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of Nigeria has unanimously decided to keep the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) at 27.50%. Additionally, the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) remains at 50% for Deposit Money Banks and 16% for Merchant Banks. The Liquidity Ratio stays at 30%, while the Asymmetric Corridor remains at +500/-100 basis points around the MPR. The decision was made to maintain stability in the country’s economic environment.
