IGP DECORATES 3 NEWLY PROMOTED AIGs, 16 CPs

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Thursday, decorated 19 senior police officers with their new ranks at the Goodluck Jonathan International Peacekeeping Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The newly decorated officers include 3 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and 16 Commissioners of Police (CPs).

The three officers promoted to AIG are:

AIG Garba Ahmed

AIG Nemi Edwin Osigoboka Iwo

AIG Salman Garba Dogo

Newly Promoted Commissioners of Police

Among the 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police are:

CP Cyriacus Enechukwu

CP Gombit Bangs

CP Rosemary Akpan

CP Ayodele Adeyemi

IGP’s Charge to the Newly Promoted Officers

The Inspector-General of Police congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to discharge their duties with diligence and professionalism.

He emphasized the importance of leveraging their policing expertise to safeguard the nation while maintaining strict adherence to the Rule of Law. The IGP also highlighted the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to enhancing security and promoting national development.
