JUST IN: PORTABLE CHARGED IN OGUN COURT FOR ASSAULT

Controversial On Thursday, the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, arraigned Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable.

After being listed as wanted by the Ogun State Police Command, he turned himself in to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba on Wednesday.

During an enforcement exercise at his establishment in the Sango Ota area on February 5, 2025, Portable reportedly led an attack on representatives of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. This incident was the basis for the allegations.

The authorities were hurt, and although nine of Portable’s accomplices were taken into custody, the singer escaped until his most recent surrender.

Portable, born on March 12, 1994, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, rose to fame with his 2021 hit song “ZaZoo Zehh,” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.

His career has been surrounded by several controversies, including public clashes with other artists and accusations of violent behavior.

The Ogun State Government has criticized Portable’s conduct, labeling him as a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal.”
