OGUN ROAD CRASH LEAVES TWO DEAD, TWO INJURED
A multiple road crash which occurred in Ogijo on Sagamu/Ikorodu Expressway, has left two people dead, while also injuring two others.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, issued in Abeokuta, the state capital, the crash involved four vehicles.
According to him, the suspected cause of the accident was a break failure.
“The Daf truck had a brake failure and hit those two cars from behind and rammed under moving Mack truck, in the process, many were wounded and two presumed dead,” he said.
“The presumed dead were taken to General hospital morgue, Ikorodu while the casualties were rushed to H health centre for medical attention.
“Traffic was affected by the time of evacuation, but normalcy has been restored with the efforts of TRACE, POLICE and Lagos State fire service operatives.
“Both bounds are free flow of traffic without any impediment,” he concluded.
