
SOKA HUMAN PARTS FACTORY: OYO POLICE DEBUNK VIRAL DECADE-OLD FOOTAGE, WARN AGAINST MISINFORMATION
The Oyo State Police Command has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding a resurfaced decade-old video depicting human remains discovered at an abandoned warehouse in the Soka area of Ibadan North East Local Government.
A statement released on Sunday, signed by the command’s spokesman, CSP Osifeso Adewale, mnipr, clarified that the footage, which recently went viral, is a misrepresentation of past events and urged the public to desist from spreading false and unverified information that could incite panic and disrupt public order.
The statement read, “The Oyo State Police Command wishes to clarify the misinformation circulating on social media regarding the resurgence of a decade-old footage displaying gory details of human remains discovered at an abandoned warehouse within the Soka Area under Ibadan North East Local Government.
“The treated footage, which captured a series of unfortunate incidents at the time, led to escalated investigations, resulting in a deliberate upgrade of the State’s security architecture.
“Following this, the Oyo State Police Command, in conjunction with its sister services and neighboring commands, has adopted impregnable security measures to prevent a recurrence of the dark past.
“Moving forward, the Oyo State Police Command passionately appeals to members of the public to refrain from spreading unverified and incorrect information capable of creating panic and disrupting public order in the State, as there will be strict sanctions for defaulters, regardless of association or affiliation.
