TWO FEARED DEAD IN CULT CLASH IN DELTA COMMUNITY
Conflicts between competing cult groups in Delta State’s Ughelli Community and Ughelli North Local Government Area have reportedly resulted in the deaths of two people.
Apparently during the fight for control of the area between the Vikings and Eiye groups, a number of people also suffered severe injuries.
The deceased’s membership in any of the confraternities is unclear at the time of this report.
The deaths have not been attributed to any of the cult groups.

The conflict persisted for several hours last night, during which time the opposing cult groups used hazardous weapons to attack each other and bystanders, shooting intermittently into the air.
In a WhatsApp chat and text message to our correspondent in Warri, SP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, verified the claim. His message said, “Verified.”
