I RECEIVED DEATH THREATS AFTER ELON MUSK SHARED FAKE NEWS ABOUT ME – AYO EDEBIRI
Ayo Edebiri, a Nigerian-American actress, has disclosed that she received “insane death threats” as a result of billionaire Elon Musk.
After Musk posted a false story in February 2024 saying Disney was considering her as a replacement for Johnny Depp in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, she said she received multiple death threats and racial epithets.
In response to the report, the owner of X wrote: “Disney sucks.”
According to Edebiri, Musk’s response caused the phony report to gain attention, which resulted in her receiving racial epithets and death threats.
On her Instagram story, she wrote, “Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man. LMAO. So not only is he [Elon Musk] double Sieg Heil-ing fascist, he’s an idiot but anyway.”
