LNSC ARRESTS MAN FOR IMPERSONATION, ASSAULT
Ademola Oyekan “42” (M) has been taken into custody by Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) Ikosi-Isheri Command agents on suspicion of assault and impersonation.
The Agency began an intelligence operation after receiving a tip from a community member to confirm the information. Once satisfied, a crack team assaulted a flat in Magodo Phase II, where the suspect was apprehended while attacking Deborah Nifemi Fafore.
Fafore, the victim, accused the suspect of being a serial abuser who specializes in using false identities to swindle women.
A poorly drafted identification card with the location of a Lagos palace on it led to the accused’s arrest, indicating that he is a member of the Oyekan Royal Family.
Nevertheless, initial inquiries and a conversation with the Oyekans revealed that the suspect is not related to the well-known Oba Oyekan family.
Before being turned over to the police at Isheri Police Station for additional investigation and potential prosecution, the suspect also admitted that he is not a part of the Oyekan family and disclosed his true name as “Muri.”
