The Ogun State Police Command has detained two brothers, Philips and Charles Igbodo, for allegedly stealing five bags of cement in the Idiroko area of the state.
According to a statement released on Thursday by the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the brothers were initially apprehended by a member of the Amotekun Corps.
Philips, who works as a security officer at a nearby hospital in the community, allegedly stole the bags of cement from a construction site.
Odutola stated, “A member of Amotekun reported the incident at the Idiroko Police Division on Thursday. The suspects were caught with five bags of cement.
“One of them, Philips, who serves as a security guard at a hospital in the area, has confessed to the crime. The stolen cement is believed to have been taken from a construction site.”
She added that the suspects were in police custody as investigations continue.
In 2018, the command arrested three siblings, Ismaila, Tobi, and Yetunde Adeosun, for robbery.
