SOUTH AFRICAN AMBASSADOR EXPELLED AMID TRUMP’S CRITICISM

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that President Donald Trump’s administration is expelling South Africa’s ambassador to Washington.

Rubio made the announcement on Friday, alleging that the envoy harbors hostility toward the U.S. and President Trump.

“South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome in our great country,” Rubio posted on X.

“Ebrahim Rasool is “a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates @POTUS,” he said, referring to Trump by his White House X account handle.

“We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA.”

The ambassador’s expulsion follows escalating tensions between Washington and Pretoria.

In February, Trump suspended U.S. aid to South Africa, claiming a local law permits the seizure of land from white farmers.

Tensions escalated further last week when Trump reiterated his allegation that the South African government was “confiscating” land from white citizens and invited affected farmers to settle in the United States.
