TCN SCHEDULES FIVE-HOUR MAINTENANCE ON SULEJA SUBSTATION
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has scheduled a five-hour preventive maintenance at its Suleja 330/132/33kV transmission substation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM.
The maintenance work will involve replacing a circuit breaker to improve the substation’s efficiency and reliability.
This was disclosed in a press statement released by the company on its official X handle on Friday.
As a result, bulk power supply to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be temporarily disrupted during the maintenance period.
Consequently, electricity distribution to AEDC customers in areas serviced through the Suleja Substation, including Gwagwalada, Abaji, and Kwali will be affected.
TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, emphasised that maintenance is essential for ensuring optimal performance of the transmission network.
Mbah stated, “The five-hour exercise aims to replace a circuit breaker, affecting bulk power supply through the Substation to AEDC.”
She further assured customers that power supply would resume promptly after the maintenance is completed..
TCN appeals for understanding from the affected communities and regrets any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance work.
The company reiterates its commitment to providing a more stable and reliable electricity supply across the nation.
