England manager Thomas Tuchel made a winning start to his reign with a 2-0 victory against Albania in their opening World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Myles Lewis-Skelly netted in the first half at Wembley with the first goal of the Tuchel era before Harry Kane wrapped up the win in the closing stages.

Tuchel’s tactical setup saw England play with a high press and quick transitions, with Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice controlling the midfield.

Defensively, the Three Lions remained solid, limiting Albania to a few half-chances while Jordan Pickford had little to do in goal.

Speaking after the match, Tuchel praised his players’ performance, highlighting their intensity and discipline.

He also singled out Lewis-Skelly for his impressive display, calling it a “great moment for English football.”

With this victory, England makes a confident start to their World Cup qualifying campaign and will look to build on this momentum in their next fixture.
