ACTRESS LILIAN AFEGBAI CRITICIZES FRIEND FOR SELLING WEDDING ASO EBI IN DOLLARS
Lilian Afegbai, an actress from Nigeria, has criticized her friend who lives in Lagos for selling her wedding aso ebi for US dollars.
In a Wednesday Instagram post, Afegbai expressed her surprise at seeing that the aso ebi fabric she was given cost $1,200.
The actress expressed shock, saying Nigerian brides are “doing too much.”
“Una Don dey sell aso ebi in dollars for Lagos? You people sell for your own wedding in dollars now? You guys are doing too much.
“A friend of mine sent me her wedding invitation, after which I congratulated her happily. I checked the date to make sure it didn’t clash with timing, that was how I checked the price and saw 1200, I initially thought the price was in Naira, thinking is she doing a giveaway?’
“After checking the link, I saw the dollar sign at the back and I was shocked. I decided to convert it, 1200 times 1600. How many millions is that? For your own wedding and your I do? Is it my I do? It is not good, everybody should relax. There is life after the wedding”.
