On Thursday, the House of Representatives reversed its earlier decision on the second reading of a bill that aimed to remove immunity from the vice-president, governors, and deputy governors.

The change came after the Majority Leader of the House, Julius Ihonvbere, put forward a motion.

Additionally, the lower legislative chamber also reversed its stance on the bill proposing the abolition of the death penalty.

Both bills had passed their second reading during plenary on Wednesday.
