LAGOS CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD TO AUTOMATE PILGRIMAGE PROCESS
The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board is taking a significant step towards modernising its services. This was revealed recently during a courtesy visit to the Lagos Traffic Radio aimed at strengthening media ties with the media organisation.
According to the Board Secretary, Dr. Gbolabo Omoniyi Okudero, the Board plans to automate the pilgrimage registration process, making it easier and more efficient for intending pilgrims to fill and submit forms online.
While noting that the move is expected to enhance service delivery and eliminate the rigour of manual processes, Dr. Okudero emphasised the importance of innovation, saying “We can’t continue to do the same thing in the same way and expect a different result.”
Okudero further stated that the Board will ensure that intending pilgrims are carefully selected to maintain the spiritual essence of pilgrimage exercises.
In his response, the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, Mr. Tayo Akanle thanked the team for the visit, emphasising that the collaboration with Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has long been established. He noted that going forward, it is expected that the already established relationship will yield more mutual benefits.
The visit, which was aimed at fostering stronger media partnership had in attendance the management team of the Lagos Traffic Radio and the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.
