NSCDC INTERCEPTS TRUCK CARRYING 70,000 LITERS OF STOLEN FUEL

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has made a significant seizure in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, impounding a truck containing 70,000 litres of stolen petroleum products.

The products were cleverly hidden in an inbuilt storage tank within the truck.

The operation was carried out by the NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, as part of their ongoing efforts to combat oil theft and illegal bunkering in the region.

The squad acted swiftly on intelligence reports regarding the activities of oil thieves in the area, leading to the successful interception of the truck.

According to NSCDC spokesperson Afolabi Babawale, the truck was spotted near the Eleme flyover in Elelewon, Port Harcourt, and was subsequently impounded by the Special Intelligence Squad .

The occupants of the truck fled the scene as the operatives approached.
