2BABA, NATASHA OSAWARU TURN HEADS AT EDO ELECTION TRIBUNAL
Famous Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, grabbed attention on Wednesday when he appeared at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
The singer was accompanied by his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, who is the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.
The tribunal is set to rule on a petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, challenging the election victory of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Osawaru, who serves as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State Assembly, was elected on the PDP platform.
2Baba’s appearance at the tribunal with Osawaru sparked even more public interest in their relationship, which has been widely discussed.
The singer announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, in January, and by the following month, he proposed to Osawaru.
Since then, the couple has been spotted together at various public events, including social gatherings and shopping trips.
Recently, Natasha Osawaru updated her Instagram bio to include the singer’s surname, ‘Idibia,’ fueling speculation about their relationship status.
While neither of them has officially confirmed a marriage, their frequent public appearances suggest a growing connection.
Their presence at the tribunal added a new element to the legal proceedings, as many observers shifted their focus to the high-profile couple.
It remains to be seen how their relationship will develop amidst the ongoing political and legal disputes surrounding the Edo State governorship election.
