KATSINA: BANDITS KILL THREE, INJURE TWO IN KATSINA
Armed bandits launched an attack on Unguwar Doruwar, a village near Kunduru in the Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Sunday.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert specializing in the Lake Chad region, shared this information in a post on his X handle on Monday.
Makama reported that intelligence sources informed him that the assailants, heavily armed and riding motorcycles, rustled cattle and opened fire on villagers, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to two others.
The report also mentioned that security forces swiftly responded to the scene of the attack.
“Unfortunately, the bandits managed to flee the area before authorities could apprehend them,” Makama added.
The security expert further stated that the victims, who were critically wounded in the attack, were rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina for treatment.
“Authorities have confirmed the death of three villagers, while the injured remain under medical observation,” Makama said.
