The Olubadan Advisory Council has reinstated Olawale Oladoja Akinsola as the Mogaji of Akinsola Family Compound in the Labiran area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Akinsola’s appointment was earlier revoked on March 12, 2024, over allegations of sealing more than 200 houses in Labinkulu, Aponmode, Isagunna and other communities in Akinyele Local Government Area in 2023.

His reinstatement was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by Gbenga Ayoade, Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin

According to the statement, the letter of reinstatement was signed by the Clerk to the Olubadan Advisory Council, Kolawole Balogun, and conveyed the monarch’s decision following a series of appeals.

The statement read in part, “After series of appeal, the Olubadan of Ibadanland considered your plea and has directed me (Clerk to the council) to inform you that in consideration of your recent letter of appeal and the letter received from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters dated August 26, 2024 with reference number CB.161/1/18/69, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olakulehin has graciously approved your reinstatement as Mogaji Akinsola Family Compound, Labiran Area, Ibadan with immediate effect.

“The letter also admonished you (Mogaji Akinsola) to use the privilege of your reinstatement to contribute your quota to the development of Ibadanland.”
