
COURT APPROVES BAIL FOR TIKTOK STAR ALPHA CHARLES IN DEFAMATION SUIT
Magistrate Court No. 17 in Kano State, presided over by Justice Huda Haruna, has granted bail to popular TikTok personality Alpha Charles, who was arraigned by the police on charges of defamation.
According to the charge sheet, Alpha Charles allegedly defamed Sadiya Haruna through posts shared on various social media platforms.
Upon hearing the charges, Charles pleaded not guilty. Her legal counsel applied for bail, which was granted by the court under strict conditions.
The bail requires one surety, who must be a blood relative and a civil servant not below Grade Level 16.
Additionally, if the defendant absconds, the surety will forfeit the sum of five hundred thousand naira to the court.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing.
Sadiya Haruna is the ex-wife of G-Fresh, a well-known Kano-based TikTok star and former boyfriend of the accused.
